permitted on decks and not below decks, bridge or in the saloon areas.
Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA)
In order that the yacht can purchase provisions ready for the arrival
of the charterer an APA amount is to be paid. The APA is provided to the
master of the vessel within 14 days of the start of the charter. The
charterer shall provide cleared funds within this time frame to the
owner, this amount will be by negotiation, but not less than 15% of the
base charter cost. The Master will advise if further cash funds are
required during the charter, any unused funds will be returned at the
end of the charter.
Luggage
For easy stowage, please use either folding or collapsible
cases/bags.
Footwear
Wear soft comfortable shoes (if any) please
do not wear any high-heeled
shoes on board.
Clothing
Yacht charter is generally informal and relaxing, here are some items
we feel might be useful to the well-dressed, sensibly
equipped seafarer.
Shorts, T-shirts and swimsuits are normally the order of the day and
for evenings on shore, dress is casual; a shirt and trousers/skirt would
be formal enough for almost everywhere.
Charters: one week to ten days

(cotton or other light material), 2 sweaters (1 light, 1 heavy - not in
mid summer) 1 pair tennis shoes or similar, 1 sandals/slip-on's, 2/3
sports socks, 2 bathing suits, 2 sun hats, night attire, underwear,
toilet kit, suntan cream/block (very Important) lip aid, mosquito/sand
fly repellent, motion pills, sun glasses, light wet weather gear,
camera, binoculars, small torch.

bag or carry bag, camera, binoculars, small torch.
Extra T-shirts should be packed for children who are likely to spend
a great deal of time in the water, as this protects their shoulders from
sunburn. A good quality sun block is highly recommend.
Crew Gratuities
We are often asked what gratuities should be paid to the crew at the
end of each charter. We find this question very difficult to answer.
Although no gratuity is required or expected to be paid, any would
certainly be gratefully received. You may not be fully aware of the long
hours a good crew will work during your charter - 100 hours per week is
not unusual, with no time off the yacht. But we must remember that they
do it through choice and hopefully enjoy it. If the crew have really
performed beyond expectations and have perhaps worked particularly long
hours to look after you the best guidance that we can give would be a
gratuity of approximately 10% of the charter fee.
Recreational Equipment
All recreational equipment is to used with due care and
responsibility, charterer will take responsibility for any damage to any
of the recreational equipment belonging to the vessel and to any other
persons property damaged due to lack of care and attention.
Coral Reefs
We are an environmentally aware organization and ask that no coral or
other items be removed from any of the coral reefs.
Valuables
We ask that valuables brought on board are kept to an absolute
minimum, personal electronic safes are supplied.
